The Chennai Zonal Meteorological Center has said that due to the atmospheric circulation over the South Bay of Bengal and the variation in the speed of the westerly winds, there will be rain in Tamil Nadu till the 5th, and from tomorrow to the 5th of July, there is a possibility of heavy rain at a few places in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.

Light to moderate rain with thundershower at a few places over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal. Nilgiris, Coimbatore, Thiruvallur, Chennai, Chengalpattu, Kanchipuram, Villupuram, Cuddalore districts and Puducherry received heavy rainfall at a few places.

Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely at many places over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal. Thiruvallur, Iranippet, Kanchipuram, Nilgiris and Coimbatore districts received heavy to very heavy rain at one or two places, Tirupur, Dindigul, Theni, Thenkasi, Tirunelveli, Kanyakumari, Cuddalore, Villupuram, Chengalpattu, Chennai and Puducherry districts received heavy rain at one or two places.

Light to moderate rain with thundershower at a few places over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal. Heavy to very heavy rain at one or two places in Nilgiris and Coimbatore districts, Tiruppur, Dindigul, Theni, Thenkasi, Tirunelveli, Kanyakumari, Tirupattur, Vellore, Iranipet, Thiruvallur and Kanchipuram districts.
