Viral video of heavy rain ravaging Himachal
The northern states of India are currently experiencing heavy rains, which are likely to cause floods, landslides and rock slides in many districts of Himachal.
The scenic state of Himachal Pradesh has been hit hard by heavy rains. As water levels rise in aquifers, rivers overflow their banks. At a few places, the flood is overflowing the banks and submerging the bridges.
The police of Himachal Pradesh said that due to heavy rains in Himachal’s Gera district, the roads were blocked due to falling trees near Siddhartha factory on National Highway 105 connecting Manpura and Nalankara.
Heavy rains in Lahual district of Himachal Pradesh and Chhota Darra and Spiti in the early hours of Sunday caused flash floods and landslides.
Similarly, in Himachal capital Shimla, the railway truck between Kotti and Sanwara was closed due to flooding caused by heavy rains.
The Beas River is inundated as a result of continuous heavy rains in Mandi and Kullu regions of Himachal Pradesh state.
Traffic has also been disrupted at many places due to landslides caused by heavy rains. Due to this, many tourists have been affected.
Train traffic between Kalka-Shimla has been affected due to trees falling on the railway tracks. Landslides and floods have paralyzed road traffic in these areas. Due to this, the normal life of the people has been affected.
The Indian Meteorological Department has warned that floods, landslides and avalanches are likely to occur in Laheel and Spiti districts of Himachal Pradesh.
