First Phase Camp of Artist Women’s Rights Program in Chennai from 24th July – Chennai Municipal Corporation Announcement

It has been announced that the preliminary camp for application registration will be held from July 24 to August 4 to benefit from the Women’s Entitlement Scheme in Chennai Corporation.

In a press release issued by the Chennai Metropolitan Corporation,

Application Registration Camps to benefit Artist Women Rights Scheme in Metropolitan Chennai Corporation will be held in two phases First Phase Application Registration Camp will be held from 24.07.2023 to 04.8.2023 Second Phase Camp will be held from 05,08.2023 to 15.06.2020

A Fair Price Shop employee will provide each family with an application and token directly at home, specifying the day and time of the camps at each Fair Price Shop location.

Token issuance will start four days prior to the day of the camp. The public need not visit the Fair Price Shop to obtain these applications. Candidates should apply only in the camp held at fair price shop where family card is available. The details of the areas for which applications will be received in the first and second phase are given in the attachment.

The wife of the family who has received the application should fill the applications and bring them directly to the application registration camp venue on the specified day at the specified time.

Aadhaar Card, Family Card, Electricity Bill Receipt, Bank Pass Book should be brought for verification while registering the application. No need to attach any documents in duplicate with the application,

There is no need to apply for the Women’s Rights Scheme and obtain any evidence from the revenue department like income proof, land documents etc. Congregation of many people at the same time in the application registration camp should be avoided. Registration of applications of all applicants Registration of applications will be held on all camp days including Sundays from 9.30 am to 1 pm and from 2 pm to 5.30 pm.

The information about the streets, ward and days of the camp will be displayed on the notice board in the fair shops.

Aadhaar number of applicants visiting the application registration camp will be entered and their fingerprint will be verified through biometric device. If the user’s fingerprint enrollment is not correct, a one-time password (OTP) will be received through the mobile phone linked to the Aadhaar card.

If the phone is linked to the applicant’s Aadhaar card, bringing the mobile to the camp will simplify application registration

A woman who has completed 21 years of age can apply in families eligible to benefit from the Artist Women’s Entitlement Scheme for Heads of Household. That is, those born before September 15, 2002 can apply. Candidates should apply only at the application registration camp where the fair price shop is located where their family card is available.

Only one beneficiary is eligible to apply for a family card. All the persons named in the family card are considered as a family. A housewife in every eligible family can apply to avail the benefit of the Artist Women’s Rights Scheme. The female head of the household mentioned in the family card will be treated as the head of the family- If the male head of the family is mentioned in the family card, the wife of the head of the family will be treated as the head of the family.

In case the name of the wife of the male head of the family is not present in the family card for any reason, one of the other women in the family will be considered as the head of the family. If a family has more than one female who has completed 21 years of age then the family members can choose one person to apply for benefit under this scheme. Households headed by unmarried single women, maidservants and transgender persons are also considered heads of households.
